Danielle,

My apologies for not stumbling on this earlier. I would be honored to be a guest presenter either as myself or as ChuckNorris Mission. :-)

[...] This week and next is the NMC’s Symposium on Impact of Digital Media and the Slatenight team has been asked to participate. As part of our program Anya (Angela Thomas) will give a talk on identity that will be followed by a fashion show with a twist. Instead of highlighting the latest fashions we hope to be able to recruit members of the SL community to showcase their unique identities. I have already approached Aura Lily and Blaze Columbia but don’t be surprised if I call on you! Just for fun - here I am in my Halloween costume purchased at Material Squirel. Bookmark to: [...]

Great post, Danielle!! The NMC Campus Observer is a multi-author blog, and our authors are all doing quite a bit of exciting stuff! (He grins since Danielle is one of them)

I don't think we should worry about more than one post on a given day -- quite the opposite-- we'd LOVE to have that much to talk about!!

You can do decent fashion in SL for well under L$300. Places like Free Dove and GNUbie really help out -- and as you discovered, most content creators in Second Life tend to be awfully generous, especially for educational type environments.

And, for that matter if I can help, please let me know. :D

You don't need any special scripts or codes to get del.icio.us to post a daily summary of all sites bookmarked. It is a built in feature of del.icio.us.

Go to Settings, and look on the right side under "daily blog posting" -- you enter some info to allow it to log in and post entries to your WP site. It will only create an entry if there have been new bookmarks in the last 24 hours. You can specify a WP category to file the posts under by getting the category id from your WP control panel. It works w/o any intervention.

The downside is you have no control on the blog title- it is "links for 10-04-2006", and if you bookmark a lot in one day, you will have a long post...

I explored another script that is supposed to do a weekly summary, but have yet to get it to work right.

If you are looking to put recent links in the sidebat, use the link rool javascript code also in the del.icio.us settings.
